MICROFAB™ — Anti-Vegetation and
Anti-Rooting Ground Cover

MicroFab™ was created exclusively to prevent the growth of weeds without resorting to chemical products. This anti-vegetation and anti-rooting ground cover pevents weeds from attaching themselves to its surface while keeping roots from taking hold or piercing through it. Virtually 100% opaque, it prevents photosynthesis, keeping weeds from growing and seeds from germinating beneath the lawn cover.

Description and function

MicroFab consists of a woven geotextile with a polyethylene coating. Designed to withstand tears and perforations, this non-biodegradable product delivers approximately five years of UV resistance.

Ideal for professional end-users working in nurseries, greenhouses and garden centres, MicroFab requires no covering and can be used outdoors for several years. Lines printed at every 15 cm make it easier to line up pots. Its unique structure allows MicroFab to outperform other types of materials used in the horticultural industry.

Surprising permeability

MicroFab increases the stability of the ground in driveways, while helping control roots that could contaminate the structures’ drainage gravel.

With its multiple microscopic perforations, this anti-vegetation and anti-rooting ground cover facilitates the infiltration of water, air and fertilizer to the plants’ roots. Used as a cover in the Aquamat system, the MicroFab lets water pass freely to the “reservoir” layer of this capillary mat.
